Our goal is to offer jobseekers job and career-related services. In doing so, we are committed to protecting the privacy of our users. Should you choose to use our services you can be assured that your private data will be fully protected and used strictly for the purposes as set forth herein. Your personal details will not be disclosed nor will they be distributed to third parties, unless you decide to do so.
 
jobpilot is committed to providing a safe and secure user experience. Read on for detailed information on what kind of personal data we gather and save for particular career services, why we do so and for what purposes we use your personal data.
 
Gathering and Saving Personal Data
Personal data is gathered, saved and used meticulously and in a responsible manner. Your personal data will be used strictly for the purposes as set forth by the services you subscribed to.
 
1. Registering for a "My jobpilot" Account
We ask "My jobpilot" users to provide personal details required for usage of "My jobpilot" services. Personal details include your first and last name (as well as your preferred form of address), your email address (so that we may be able to distinguish you from other users; so that our technical support desk may contact you in case you forgot your password; so that we may email you job offers that match your profile) and a password (so that you may log in to your personal account). In no case will your personal details be disclosed or distributed to third parties. Should you wish to subscribe to jobpilot newsletters, your email address will be saved for this purpose also. At the end of your registration, we will ask you for permission to store all of the above personal information you provided in our database free of charge. 2. Saving your Anoymous Resume in our Database
After registering for a "My jobpilot" account you may save your Resume in our database thus enabling companies (to whom we will not disclose your personal data) to contact you.
Companies may leave messages in your personal "My jobpilot" message box. It is entirely up to you to decide what kind of data you wish to provide on your Resume (you may, for instance, choose to provide a detailed but anonymous profile without indicating your name, address, phone number, fax number and email address). In addition, you may change your Resume at any time - it is, for instance, entirely up to you whether or not you want to indicate the name of your current employer and whether or not you want to disclose your identity to companies that have left a message indicating their interest to get in touch with you.
 
3. Entry of Contact Data and Uploading Application Documents
If you do not whish to post an anonymous resume, but to allow potential employers to contact you, view your resume or other application documents. You may enter your personal information (first name, last name, address, phone number, fax number, email) and upload your application documents. Companies can then access this information by after paying a fee, download your application documents and contact you directly. If you activate your contact information and submit optional additional application documents, you then agree that your personal information is saved in the jobpilot database and will be published on the internet. You can remove your personal information and application documents from the jobpilot database at any time. After activation your resume will stay online for 12 months. This time period can be changed at any time by deactivating or prolonging the resume. If your resume remains deactivated for longer than 12 months your personal information and application documents will be deleted. jobpilot cannot take responsability for compliance with the confidentiality and data privacy laws, with ralation to the companies that have accessed your data once it has been published online.
 
3. Applying for a Job Using a jobpilot Application Forms
There are several ways to apply for a job online using jobpilot. Sometimes you will get straight to the company homepage where you can fill in an online application form. Mostly, however, you will receive a jobpilot application form where you can fill in your personal information. After clicking on the "send" button, your profile will either be emailed directly to the company you wish to work for, or it will be saved in a database and thus be made available to the respective company you are applying to. In the latter case, you will be notified well ahead of time that your personal information will be saved in a database. No matter which application form you will find in a job ad your personal information will be supplied exclusively for the position you have selected and is solely made available to that potential employer.
 
4. Cookies
We use a feature on your Internet browser called "cookie" in order to gather information about user behavior, i.e. visits and page impressions. Cookies are small text files that your Web Browser places on your computer's harddrive. They register anonymous data about user behavior, for instance, and information about which browser our users use. We do not use cookies to gather personal information or other information related to our users' "My jobpilot" accounts. At no time are your personal data made available to our partners, even if cookies are sent by servers other than jobpilot. You may reject a cookie at all times. Alternatively, you may request that a warning be issued before accepting a cookie so that you may then decide whether to accept or to reject a cookie. Your decision to reject cookies has no impact whatsoever on your personal use of jobpilot services.
 
5. General Information
In addition, jobpilot gathers basic information about user behavior. This information saved by our web servers includes information concerning browsers, operating systems and Internet Service Providers used, as well as information about the IP addresses of our users'personal computers used to access a jobpilot site. Furthermore, jobilot web servers will register which website our users visited prior to visiting jobpilot as well as the date, time and duration of their visit. At no time are those data attributed to specific users. We may publish statistical results from user and customer opinion polls.
 
What we do with Collected Data
 
As indicated above, we need to collect user information in order to deliver our services. Be assured that jobpilot only collects data that is absolutely necessary to provide the services requested by our users and that this data is used exclusively in connection with these services.
 
Data Security
 
jobpilot uses technical and admininistrative safety measures to protect your personal data from accidental or deliberate manipulation by unauthorized parties, data loss, deletion as well as to deny unauthorized parties access to your data. We work hard to continuously improve safety measures in accordance with the latest technological developments.
 
jobpilot assumes no liablility for the actual process of data transfer over the Internet.
 
Right of Access to Personal Data
 
Upon request, jobpilot will, in compliance with legislation inform users as to whether personal information is saved in the jobpilot database and, if so, what type of personal data are saved.
